Alongside is a tier 1 preventative mental health platform that helps all students navigate everyday challenges like “I got in a fight with my friend and don’t know how to make it better,” “I’m failing math,” or “I can’t sleep.” Students access the app on their devices using Clever or their school email.

Rollout Approach:

• All at Once: Every student activates their account at the same time or on the same day: same time - during advisory, first period, after lunch same day - in a class like Social Studies or ELA

Step-by-Step: Student Account Activation

• Step 1: Click on Alongside llama icon in launchpad or go to app.alongside.care and sign in with school email.
• Step 2: Click “Rollout” button on left.
• Step 3: Watch the Staff Overview Video (Step 1) at any time.
• Step 4: Use Step 2 to send directions to students.
• Step 5: Display screen for student and show Student Overview Video (Step 3).
• Step 6: Have students activate their accounts and explore!

Once students activate their accounts, they can use Alongside whenever they want. Many schools integrate it into instruction or offer it as a way for students to get support. You can track student engagement through your Alongside dashboard and receive weekly email summaries with usage data.

• Step 1: Introduce Alongside for Educator Support during a staff meeting or via email.
• Step 2: Provide staff with this resource for an overview and directions.
• Step 3: Staff log into app.alongside.care and follow the on-screen prompt to sign in through SSO (like Clever or ClassLink), or Google; Microsoft.
